Delivery Models

When implementing a PdM program, a strategic business decision has to be made in regard to which type of PdM Delivery model is right for your plant. This decision will most likely be based on the following elements:

  • labor cost
  • training and development
  • coaching and mentoring
  • recruiting and staffing
  • hardware and software needs
  • timeline for implementation
  • union vs. non-union environment
  • and career development opportunities.

Allied’s versatility offers our clients a number of customized models centered around four (4) Basic PdM Delivery Models:

Internal Hybrid Outsource/ Contract Remote Diagnostics

Standards, procedures and processes implemented at client site with master plan

IDP’s Asset Health Matrix, Program Design & Management

The internal model is the best fit when training capabilities exist within the plant, Reliability Engineers have experience with PdM, time is not a major issue, costs need to be absorbed over time and new jobs are welcome.

Utilize existing resources and contract additional support

Allied works with your staff for the right blend of technical capabilities

The hybrid model works when moderate training resources currently exist in the plant and some experience with PdM is already present. It is the right solution when time is a key factor, costs vs. size of plant come into play, or a lack of maintenance personnel is an issue.

A need exists to accelerate the PdM program

A plant cannot wait for internal resources to be developed

The contract model of delivery overcomes the lack of internal training resources at a plant and a higher expectation of “get it done right, get it done fast, and get it done the first time” exist. Allied offers the “FTE” and the “Regional” programs to help you reach your goals.

Provides the benefits of the FTE and Regional programs
