Spinner II centrifuges are highly efficient, self-contained, oil-cleaning units for bypass and off-line filtration of engine lubricants, transmission oil, gear oil and hydraulic oil. They are proven effective on all types of industrial machinery in manufacturing, oil & gas, marine, power generation, rail, landfill gas, machining, waste handling, and many other applications.
Using the power of centrifugal force, Spinner II centrifuges remove both large contaminants and ultra-fine particles as small as one-tenth of a micron. In a broad range of applications, Spinner II centrifuges are proven to reduce critical component wear up to 50%.
Principle of Operation
What it does
The Spinner II centrifuge is a highly efficient bypass filtration device. It diverts a small sidestream of oil for processing and returns clean oil to the crankcase.
The centrifuge model/processing capability is matched with your application so that the entire sump capacity is cleaned multiple times per hour of operation.
How it works
All centrifuge models have the same basic method of operation. This demonstration shows a Model 200HD centrifuge, which has a reusable rotor. A 500 Series centrifuge operates by the same principle, but has a sealed, single-use, disposable rotor.
Powered only by engine oil pressure (pump-assisted models are available if needed), the centrifuge rotates at speeds in excess of 6,000 rpm, generating a force more than 2,000 times greater than gravity. This force slings contaminants smaller than one micron out of your oil and packs them into a dense cake on the wall of the centrifuge bowl.
Boost productivity, protect mobile and fixed plant machinery.

CP™ Systems: pump-assisted operation
A centrifuge solution for non-pressurized equipment and systems.
Spinner CP systems are pump-assisted centrifuge packages that provide both on-line and off-line fluid cleaning for a wide range of industrial machinery. Spinner CP systems are custom-engineered to meet specific requirements.
Packages typically include a single Spinner II centrifuge, but may incorporate multiple centrifuges operating in parallel for high-volume applications. A Model 3600 centrifuge processes up to 960 gallons per hour (360 lpm). Spinner CP systems with multiple centrifuges are capable of virtually unlimited oil-cleaning capacities.
CS™ Systems: centrifuge-screen combo
Combine a wire cloth cleanable screen with a Spinner II centrifuge to completely eliminate disposable filters.
Eliminate Disposal Filters Forever
Spinner II CS (centrifuge/screen) systems combine a Spinner II oil-cleaning centrifuge with a full-flow, wire cloth cleanable screen.
The CS Cleanable Screen processes the full flow of oil through its stainless steel wire cloth mesh. Meanwhile, a portion of the oil also passes through the Spinner II centrifuge to remove both large particles and fine contaminants down to less than one micron.
Spinner II CS Advantages
A Spinner II CS system permanently replaces disposable oil filters.
Large capacity and high efficiency let you extend oil drains two, three, even four times or more in many applications.
Engines can operate for extended periods between service.
Provides Superior Engine Protection
With large-particle protection – plus sub-micron particle removal – it's the ultimate safeguard against engine wear.
Completely cleanable, reusable system saves you money by reducing disposal costs and eliminating filter expenses.
Diesel Exhaust Emissions Control with 99.99% Contaminant Removal
A Stratus diesel particulate filter protects people and the environment by capturing particle matter from exhaust emissions.
Highly Effective and Robust: The Sintered Metal Filter
The heart of all Stratus diesel particulate filters is the SMF® filter, which is constructed from high-strength sintered metal. As hot exhaust from the engine enters the Stratus DPF, gaseous components flow through the microscopic pores of the SMF filter pockets. Soot and ultra-fine particles are trapped on the surface and deposited on individual filter pockets.
