Cone strainers are temporary filters used within pipelines to capture debris and unwanted particles during the initial startup or commissioning phases. They safeguard expensive downstream equipment, such as pumps, valves, and meters, by preventing them from being clogged or damaged by contaminants present in the line.

Jamison Products have Basket Strainers that can be offered with or without ASME ‘U’ Stamp and /or PED certification.
Jamison Products is involved in providing and testing strainers for the API Ad Hoc Committee on Flow Conditioning for Turbine Meters. This has contributed to the development of a new basket strainer, the Jamison Posi-Lock™, which is explicitly designed to improve process performance and prevent bypass caused by movement of the strainer basket in service.
