Vibration Analyst, Junior – Category I

Duration: 4 days
Audience: New vibration analysts, people collecting vibration data, or anyone who needs to understand vibration fundamentals.

Key Topics:

  • Principles of condition monitoring and reliability improvement
  • Vibration waveforms, spectra, and simple metrics
  • Correct sensor mounting and dependable data collection
  • Alarm settings and analyzer configuration basics
  • Diagnosing unbalanced, misalignment, looseness, resonance, and bearing faults

Certification Requirement: 6 months of relevant experience.

Vibration Analyst, Intermediate – Category II

Duration: 5 days
Audience: Analysts with at least 12 months’ experience and a strong foundation in vibration theory.

Key Topics:

  • Advanced condition monitoring and maintenance practices
  • Data collection and sensor applications
  • Signal processing, spectrum, and time waveform analysis
  • Diagnosing unbalanced, misalignment, resonance, cavitation, turbulence, gearbox and bearing failures
  • Shaft alignment and balancing techniques

Certification Requirement: 18 months of relevant experience.

Vibration Analyst, Senior – Category III

Duration: 5 days
Audience: Experienced analysts (2+ years) who hold Category II certification and wish to lead programs.

  • Machine dynamics and cross-channel testing
  • Electric motor testing and corrective action
