Allied Reliability’s Spinner II centrifuges are highly efficient, self-contained, oil-cleaning units for bypass and off-line filtration of engine lubricants, transmission oil, gear oil and hydraulic oil. They are proven effective on all types of industrial machinery in manufacturing, oil & gas, marine, power generation, rail, landfill gas, machining, waste handling, and many other applications.


Using the power of centrifugal force, Spinner II centrifuges remove both large contaminants and ultra-fine particles as small as one-tenth of a micron. In a broad range of applications, Spinner II centrifuges are proven to reduce critical component wear up to 50%.

How It Works

Allied Reliability’s Spinner II centrifuge is a highly efficient bypass filtration device. It diverts a small sidestream of oil for processing and returns clean oil to the crankcase.

All centrifuge models have the same basic method of operation. This demonstration shows a Model 200HD centrifuge, which has a reusable rotor. A 500 Series centrifuge operates by the same principle, but has a sealed, single-use, disposable rotor.

Powered only by engine oil pressure (pump-assisted models are available if needed), the centrifuge rotates at speeds in excess of 6,000 rpm, generating a force more than 2,000 times greater than gravity. This force slings contaminants smaller than one micron out of your oil and packs them into a dense cake on the wall of the centrifuge bowl.

  1. Dirty oil flows through hollow spindle into rotating bowl under normal oil pump pressure.

  2. As oil passes through the rotating bowl, centrifugal force separates oil and solid contaminants.

  3. Contaminants are deposited as a solid cake on the surface the bowl.

  4. Clean oil exits through opposing, twin nozzles that power the centrifuge in excess of 6,000 rpm.

  5. Clean oil returns to the sump/reservoir from the level control base.

CP™ Systems

Spinner CP™ systems are pump-assisted centrifuge packages that provide both online and offline fluid cleaning for a wide range of industrial machinery. Spinner CP™ systems offer solutions for non-pressurized equipment and systems and are custom-engineered to meet specific requirements.

Packages typically include a single Spinner II centrifuge, but may incorporate multiple centrifuges operating in parallel for high-volume applications. A Model 3600 centrifuge processes up to 960 gallons per hour (360 lpm). Spinner CP™ systems with multiple centrifuges are capable of virtually unlimited oil-cleaning capacities.

CP™ Systems

This provides a centrifuge-screen combo, which integrates a full-flow wire cloth cleanable screen with a Spinner II oil-cleaning centrifuge to completely eliminate disposable filters.

The CS cleanable screen processes the full flow of oil through its stainless steel wire cloth mesh. Meanwhile, a portion of the oil also passes through the Spinner II centrifuge to remove both large particles and fine contaminants down to less than one micron.
